A Firmer Tune, Proven Hardware

R1 starts with a sportier damping curve than the comfort-oriented L-series: more rebound control, higher spring rates, quicker weight transfer. The twin-tube design keeps it livable on rough streets, while 55CrSi chromoly steel springs, NOK oil seals, and FUCHS shock oil hold up to sustained hard driving across a -40°C to 200°C working range. Ride height is fully adjustable, so stance and center of gravity are yours to set.

What It Feels Like on the Road

Turn-in is immediate. The front bites, the rear follows, and the car rotates like a smaller, lighter machine. Bumps that unsettle a comfort-tuned car barely register. The ride is firm — honestly so — but never harsh, and never punishing on the drive home.

Above it, the R1 Plus adds a far wider range of damping adjustment for drivers who fine-tune, and the R2's monotube design pushes toward dedicated track use. R1 is the sweet spot for driven streets.
